Meet The Team

Karen Reilly

Karen started her journey into the care sector as a domiciliary care worker, working in the community with the elderly and vulnerable. Karen immediately loved her role and was soon looking to progress. She was given the position of Team Leader which enabled her to assist with the everyday training of staff and their service delivery. Karen stayed in this role until being promoted to care coordinator, setting up packages of care, working closely with the local authority and other professional bodies. Showing great initiative and drive Karen was again promoted. This time to senior care coordinator which involved managing over 100 staff and a team of care coordinators. During this time Karen passed her teaching qualification, allowing her to deliver classroom-based training sessions in the areas required. Karen was then offered a promotion within the company to deputy manager before becoming the founder of Golden Years Support Services. Karen has very strong views on the way she wants the company to develop and the care that the individuals using the service will receive. Karen recognizes the uniqueness of all individuals receiving the service, and the staff members, therefore dignity and respect, is at the forefront of her ethics.

Dale Martin

is a local man to the Derby area and has lived there all his life. Although working for Derby City Council, Dale is not from a care background. Dales passion in this area is on a very personal level, coming from strong beliefs and family values. Dale is working very closely with Karen to improve his knowledge within the sector and over time wants to have a hands-on role with the day to day running of the company. Dales vision is for Golden Years Support Services to have a positive impact on the lives of the individuals that are cared for by them and the community as a whole
